Government Polytechnic, Mirzapur was established in 1964 by the Government of Uttar Pradesh and has been a leading center of technical education in the region ever since. The institute offers five three-year diploma courses in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering (Production), Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, and Information Technology. In 2022, the institute started a one-year Post Graduate Diploma in Data Science and Machine Learning, reflecting its focus on modern and emerging technologies.
